For the longest time people thought that the scientists were instrumental in saving humanity from self destruction. They thought that the science could solve the problems of climate change. But after decades we have to come to the conclusion that greed, selfishness and indifference are the main reasons for ruthless destruction. This problem needs to be solved on a spiritual and cultural level and scientists do not know how to do that. So now what?
Organized religion lacks integrity and are abusing people in name of their God. It leads to destruction. The same with the big corporations who are only guided by profit which leads to poverty. I too thought politicians could solve the problem. However the political platform also lost all creditability. Who do we turn to as individuals?

To be a professional artist you have to have integrity. You have to have an individual connection to the spiritual truths. It cannot be otherwise. Any musician, visual artist or dancer who has walked the path to find his authenticity in personal expression knows what I am talking about. This artist will talk about the discipline of endless repetition of the basic skills instead of watching tv. They will talk about pain and personal investment to reach a level of confidence. Practicing art comes with unwavering belief, relentless dedication and perseverance.
It is in the arts where we collectively find the connection to God as Vincent van Gogh so beautifully wrote in his many letters. Art is not about how many sales you can make but in the true connection to the deeper layers of our psyche. You will find no proof. It is in the unknown where the unpredictable things happen. When you connect you will find joy. That is what life is all about. For those who cannot become artists, be a good admirer.
Don’t be shy to support an artist in the right way. Artists organizations have the marketing tools to rake in the money but this money hardly ever reaches the person who is making the art. Little acts of engagement count too. Connect to art in any way you can.
