 Drawing for Beginners

Introduction

Based upon the Book of Betty Edwards “drawing from the right side of the brain” I give my own version of drawing classes in which we establish a thorough understanding of looking through the creative side of our brain. Everything is meant to learn to see better.

In this course you learn the basics of drawing. Drawing is not about drawing. It is about a mind shift. All you need is focus and a willingness to let go of fixed thought patterns. I will help you draw your own hand and a small object. With hatching and crosshatching you can create value. You will learn how to make a grey scale. From the third dimension you learn to draw the illusion of an object in the second dimension of the paper. Remember, this is the basic skill, you need to practice often to get really good at it, but for after this, you will have the confidence to do it.
